The Autumn Memorial Service was conducted on September 27 with the Shinbashira presiding.
The Memorial Service began in the Main Sanctuary with the reading of the prayer, which was followed by a performance of the Eight Verses of the Yorozuyo and the Twelve Songs.
The Shinbashira then proceeded to the Memorial Hall and read a prayer honoring the virtues of those who had worked for the path. In it, he said: “May you accept our sincere appreciation with peace of mind. May you continue to watch over all Yoboku and the further flourishing of the Teaching as we work in high spirits toward the salvation of the world by steadily carrying out our tasks of the season.”
