Boys and Girls Association Headquarters announced the schedule for the 2024 Children’s Pilgrimage to Jiba at its leaders’ meeting on October 26. The event is going to be held over the nine days between July 27 and August 4 next year.
This summer, after a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2023 Children’s Pilgrimage to Jiba took place with a new look. During the eleven days between July 27 and August 6, a total of 113,889 children and adult leaders came back to the Home of the Parent both from across the country and from overseas.
During the event, children who participated engaged energetically in the educational and training activities such as the “Morning Service” and the “Fife and Drum Bands’ Dedicatory Performance” as well as the entertaining attractions. The children’s festival held for the first time in four years was filled with great excitement until the end.
After announcing the schedule for next year’s Children’s Pilgrimage to Jiba at the leaders’ meeting, Chairperson Daiji Tanabe expressed his resolution by stating, “Seeing the Children’s Pilgrimage to Jiba as the central focus, we will strive to enrich the Boys and Girls Association activities at the levels of chapters based in each diocese, directly supervised church, and branch church, thereby further advancing the vertical mission.”
