Three Welfare Federations Hold Joint Convention

On September 24, Federation for the Blind, Federation for the Hearing Impaired, and Federation for the Physically Challenged held their 10th joint convention in the Home of the Parent. One hundred fifty-three members of the federations participated in it.

In the convention, the federations’ officials performed the seated service, and its regular members performed the Teodori, the Dance with Hand Movements. The service was followed by a convention ceremony, in which Rev. Noboyuki Tanaka, chief of Social Welfare Section, Mission Department, spoke to the participants. He said: “The service is the source for receiving blessings ourselves and for the salvation of others. I hope that you dedicate your efforts to the performance of the service and inspire yourselves to engage in missionary work.”
