A new video entitled “Four Seasons in the Home of the Parent” is now showing at the theater on the second basement level of South Right Wing 2 of the Oyasato-yakata building-complex. It replaced the video presentation “God the Parent’s Providence,” which was shown throughout last year and until March of this year. The new video takes full advantage of the big screens measuring 17 meters (55.77 ft.) in width and 4 meters (13.12 ft.) in height, and shows followers returning to Jiba and images from events held at the Home of the Parent in each of the four seasons.
The video opens with the sound of a drum echoing across the Home of the Parent before dawn. Images of spring include scenes of colorful flowers, the Oyasama Birth Celebration Service, and the Women’s Association Convention whereas the summer part is filled with scenes from the Children’s Pilgrimage to Jiba and the High School Division of the Students Training Course. The section on autumn shows scenes from the Autumn Grand Service, school sports activities at the Home of the Parent, and the Young Men’s Association Convention, while winter images include scenes from a snowy day in the Sanctuary precincts, the Spring Grand Service, and the Sechi Festival.
The running time is approximately 20 minutes. The video is shown twice every day except on the 26th of each month, on which it is scheduled to be shown five times after the Service. Currently the video narration is only in Japanese, but an English soundtrack will be available by this year’s Children’s Pilgrimage to Jiba. South Right Wing 2 is open from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
