Wedding Celebration for Daisuke and Nobue Nakayama

After the evening service on October 26, there will be a special event for all followers to celebrate the marriage of Successor-Designate Daisuke Nakayama and his wife, Nobue, whose wedding ceremony was conducted at the Foundress’ Sanctuary on September 1. This event is being organized by the steering committee comprised of the representatives from the Kanamekai (association comprising the head ministers of all directly supervised churches), the Women’s Association, the Young Men’s Association, the Boys and Girls Association, and the Student Advisory Committee.

Three big screens will be set up in the venue, located on the east side of the Sanctuary precincts, so that the participants can all share in the joy and enthusiasm of the celebration.

The event will start around 6:45 p.m., when the couple will enter the venue. Tenri Kyoko Gakuen High School’s marching band will then perform “Shukuten Fanfare (Celebration Fanfare),” a song composed specifically for this occasion by composer Shinichiro Ikebe.

Next, a laser light show called “Pageant of Light and Sound” will be presented, creating a fantastic, dazzling atmosphere in the Sanctuary precincts.

After the couple are presented with bouquets of flowers, Daisuke will say a few words to the well-wishers. The couple will then parade through the venue, starting in front of the East Worship Hall and finishing in the open space in front of the Oyasato-yakata’s East Center Wing.

The event is scheduled to conclude around 8:00 p.m.
