On June 4, at 11:30 a.m., a prayer service was conducted at Church Headquarters to offer prayers for the successful fulfillment of each individual’s resolutions toward the 140th Anniversary of Oyasama and also to ask for divine blessings to alleviate people’s suffering.
The service afforded Yoboku and other followers who returned to Jiba the opportunity to unite their minds and pray for the successful accomplishment of their goals and for the salvation of those they strive to help save at a time when all followers are committed to taking action following the announcement of Instruction Four and the completion of the “Visits by Church Headquarters Officials” and “Visits to All Churches.”
The event came during a sunny spell in the rainy season. Assembled at the scheduled time in the Main Sanctuary were approximately 700 followers, including resident officials, Church Headquarters staff members, Shuyoka students, and groups and families who returned from various locations. Prior to the prayer service, many followers diligently engaged in hinokishin within the Sanctuary precincts.
At 11:30 a.m., the service began to the accompaniment of the wooden clappers. The worshipers renewed their resolutions to advance the activities for the 140th Anniversary and pledged to further devote themselves to spiritual growth.
The prayer service at Church Headquarters is scheduled to take place every Sunday and national holiday and on the 25th of each month at 11:30 a.m.
