Services at Noon to Be Performed from June

The Preparation Committee for the 130th Anniversary of Oyasama recently announced that, between June 2013 and December 2015, the seated service is to be performed at noon at the Main Sanctuary on Sundays, public holidays, and the 25th of each month except on days of Church Headquarters’ events. The noon service will be led by Tenrikyo’s headquarters officials and performed with the inclusion of the wooden clappers.

This aims to encourage as many people as possible to return to and sow seeds of sincerity at Jiba following the Visits to All Churches, which are being conducted in each and every Tenrikyo church in the world to ensure a thorough understanding of the spirit of Instruction Three. It is hoped that, through the performance of the noon services, Yoboku and followers making pilgrimages to Jiba can join together to show their gratitude for their return to Jiba, pray for the salvation of others, and make a pledge to promote the activities leading up to the 130th Anniversary of Oyasama.

There is no service at noon on the days of events such as the Children’s Pilgrimage to Jiba, Nioigake Day, the Young Men’s Association Convention, and the Young Women’s Convention. For the schedule of the noon services for 2013, please see below.
